Bed Supperclub Open: 20:00-01:00 daily. Restaurant: 19:00-24:00 (Monday - Thursday), 19:30-01:00 (Friday and Saturday) Location: 26 Sukhumvit Soi 11 Contact: +66 (0)2 651 3557 Skytrain: Nana Bed Supperclub's tubular elliptical structure, interior design, exquisite restaurant, and house and electro DJs make it one of Bangkok's most trendiest, sophisticated and innovative clubs. The dining area on the left side of the club, or rather dining lounge, subtitutes conventional tables with matresses and oversized pillows, inviting guests to open their minds and sharpen their senses. On Fridays and Saturdays the Supperclub hosts a superlative dining and entertainment experience; guests are encouraged to arrive at 20:30 sharp, as there is only one sitting for the four- course meal. Seperate from the restuarant, the bar and dance club features a mezzanine overlooking the dance floor. A VJ operates from within the crowd on the upper floor and projects visuals on the huge oval window above the DJ downstairs. Bed has already hosted dozens of critically acclaimed international DJs, including Miguel Migs, Kenny Dope, Blaze, DJ Disciple, Alexkid, Gilles Peterson, Charles Schillings, etc. Besides bringing in top house DJ talent, Bed plays host to its legendary weekly Tuesday hip- hop night. Wednesdays are models night, and Sunday's are Think Pink, Bed's gay night. Entrance is 600 baht most nights, a bit higher when guest (international) DJs are playing. Concept CM2 Open: 21:00 - -2:00 Location: Novotel Siam Square Contact: +66 (0)2 209 8888 Skytrain: Siam CM2's live house bands play the latest chart-topping R&B, hip-hop, pop and rock hits. If live music isn't your thing, the Boom Room is just to the right of the main stage (in the main dance area), where you can bump to the latest hip-hop and R&B tracks. Every once in awhile an international DJ will showcase on the main stage. Thursday is Hip-Hop Night, as hip-hop lovers from all over Bangkok come to enjoy resident DJs Lek, Kid and Bom. Monday is Ladies Night with free entry for all the ladies; Tuesday is buy one get one free on bottles of spirits; Wednesday is buy one get one free on jugs of Margarita's or Kamikaze's; and on Sunday, chug-a-jug as draught beer is buy one get one free. Karaoke rooms are avilable for rent in the same complex (400 baht per person, includes food and drink), as is an Italian restaurant (open until 01:45). On Friday's and Saturday's, entrance gets you two drink tickets that can be used the entire week. Since CM2 is located in the basement of the Novotel Siam Square, the atmosphere is a bit formal. The Bar at Fogo Vivo Open: 11:30 - 23:00 (Monday - Thursday), 11:30 - 01:00 (Friday and Saturday) Location: 973 Ploenchit Road Contact: +66 (0)2 656 0384 Skytrain: Chidlom, President Tower exit For the hottest salsa parties in town, head straight to the Bar at Fogo Vivo, Bangkok's very own and only sizzling Brazilian venue. Friday nights see DJ Damian spinning music from across the Latin landscape, while on Saturdays let Cuban salsa king DJ Greco lead you through a night of groovy salsa beats in the 'Rueda de Casino' style with his own eclectic mixes and Colombian Luis accompanying on the congas. Wednesday nights are reserved for Lambada fans. The restaurant Churrascaria (downstairs) brings you not only the finest Argentinian beef, but also a mouthwatering selection of seafood, lamb, pork, duck, chicken and vegetables. Q Bar Open: 20:00-01:00 Location: 34 Sukhumvit Soi 11 Contact: +66 (0)2 252 3274 Skytrain: Nana This New York style bar and club attracts a cosmopolitan crowd and is a running favourite among locals and expats. With over 50 different international brands of Vodka in their impressive vodka freezers, 20 different types of tequilas and 50 whiskey brands, and even a few bottles of Absinthe, this place is a booze connoisseurs paradise. Fancy a fine Cuban (cigar) to accompany that fine Russian vodka martini? No problem, as this is one of the few bars in Thailand to feature a full line of cigars from Cuba and the D.P. For proper club music, Q Bar has and continues to feature top international talent (such as Derrick Carter, The Jungle Brothers, and Afrika Islam, to name a few) each week, and plays host to an eclectic mix of nightlies featuring the best of hip-hop, house, drum'n'bass and acid jazz, not to mention Q Bar's famous Jub Chai (mixed soup) parties. Narcissus Open: 21:00-02:00 Location: Sukhumvit Soi 23 Contact: +66 (0)2 258 4085 Skytrain: Asok Set inside an impressive mansion, the interior is pompous and grand. Resident DJs play trance while international DJs make appearances regularly. Popular and packed club.

Silom

Lucifers Disko Open: 19:00-02:00 Location: 76/1-3 Patpong Soi 1 Contact: +66 (0)2 234 6902 Skytrain: Sala Daeng Located halfway down and on the left-hand side of the Patpong Night Bazaar is Lucifer. Inside is a big, two-level club where red-eyed demon masks glare down onto a packed and varied crowd dancing away to anything from pop and dance through to hardcore techno and trance music. Staff clad in orange uniforms and Satan's horns serve a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Amazingly, considering the size of the place, there is no cover charge. Loud, packed and hectic. Packed on weekends with expats, plus a few Thai ladies, this is a place where you can always get your groove on. Set in a stylish two-storey venue - which features a superb roof top bar open only on special occasions - Tapas presents live percussionists twice a week and attracts a hip and beautiful crowd with the occasional celebrity to be spotted. Flix & Slim

Set in a colossal building with two wings, Flix is on the left and Slim on the right. While Slim specializes in R&B and commercial hip-hop, Flix spins house tunes. Both clubs are stylish and heaving with people on weekends.

Inch is Bangkok's latest hot spot for clubbing. The whole club is separated into two areas by a middle glass partition, carefully shaped in a slightly curved format to give a stylish welcoming to the clubbers at the entrance.

JazzITBangkok

JazzITBangkok is a unique, new Thai-Italian disco featuring an impressive Italian wine list, Italian and Thai dishes, as well as Italian and Thai DJs spinning deep house, Latin house, and Brazilian house. Live vocalists and percussionists are thrown in the mix between sets. The club's live band also plays the latest pop and rock hits as well as popular classics every night.

Similar to Flix and Slim, the revamped Route 66 is divided into two sections East and West. Since R n B and Hip Hop seem to be what Bangkok's night crawlers want, it's what you'll hear in both sides. Reservations recommended.
